In August 2025, the World Youth Artistic Swimming Championships for ages 13–15 will take place in Athens, Greece:

At this prestigious international event, Estonia will be represented by the national team of the Estonian Swimming Federation in artistic swimming. The team consists of 13 athletes from the Estonian Aquatic Sports School (Eesti Veespordialade Kool) — 12 girls and 1 boy. They are participants of the World Championships (2023) and European Championships (2024), winners and medalists of the Baltic and Nordic Championships, as well as international competitions in Finland 🇫🇮 , Hungary 🇭🇺 , Czech Republic 🇨🇿 , Bulgaria 🇧🇬 , Belgium 🇧🇪 , and Estonia 🇪🇪 .

The team will compete in all possible disciplines:

  • Solo (female and male)
  • Duet (female and mixed)
  • Team routine
  • Combination routine

  • Aleksandra Orlova — women’s solo, women’s duet, team and combo (reserve); Best Artistic Swimmer in Estonia (2020–2023).
  • Alisa Valtanen — women’s duet, mixed duet, team and combo (reserve);

  • Anna Paula Tiidemann — team and combo;
  • Aleksandra Piho — team and combo;

  • Catharina-Rosita Suuroja — combo and team (reserve);
  • Evelyn Sinilill — combo and mixed duet (reserve);
  • Alisa Kozyreva — combo;
  • Kondrat Rebert — men’s solo and mixed duet.

📅 Preparation:

The athletes began active and systematic training back in November 2024 when the date and venue of the World Championships were announced. From September to May, they trained 5 times a week for at least 3.5 hours per day, participated in 2 training camps, and competed in 7 international events.

During the summer, training intensity will increase to 6 hours daily in the pool plus gym sessions according to the preparation plan:

  • July 2–31 — training in Tallinn;
  • August 1–8 — training camp in Vinni;
  • August 11–16 — urban training camp in Jüri;
  • August 18–22 — training camp in Kohtla-Järve:
  • August 23 — departure to Athens:
  • August 26–30 — World Youth Championships in Athens.

The team is doing everything possible to perform successfully at the World Championships, incorporating advice from international-level judges in their compulsory and free routines.

💸 Cost of participation:

Preparatory camps and participation in such a major event require not only tremendous effort from the athletes but also significant financial resources. Most of the financial burden falls on the parents. Thanks to support from Eesti Kultuurkapital, Eesti Ujumisliit and Eesti Veespordialade Kool, the amount has been reduced to €33,000, which still remains a significant burden for families.
